Heartland headquarters in Madison will be closed for the holiday on Monday, November 8, 2012. We will resume our normal business hours Tuesday, November 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The office will also be closed during the afternoon of the 9th as Heartland staff will be participating in a community-based volunteer project in recognition of national Public Power Week.
Scheduled for October 7-13, national Public Power Week celebrates the benefits of public power, including competitive rates, reliability, energy efficiency and economic development services, and local control, among others. For more information, visit www.publicpower.org.
As part of our week-long celebration, Heartland has partnered with the city of Madison to improve one of the city parks. Beginning at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, Heartland employees will help stain the enclosed picnic shelter at the swimming pool park. Heartland will also be submitting energy efficiency tips and Public Power Week stories to all our customers’ local news outlets. In conjunction with American Public Power Association, we at Heartland believe public power is “An American Tradition That Works.”
