2012 Legislative Rally to be held March 12-14 in Washington, D.C.

American Public Power Association (APPA) announced today the dates for the 2012 Legislative Rally, to be held March 12-14 at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington, D.C.

According to APPA, the rally agenda will include “briefings by APPA staff and experts on important issues that public power utilities are facing, such as protecting tax-exempt financing and cost-based rates for the federal power program, Environmental Protection Agency regulation of power plants, and cyber security, among others.”  Rally participants will have access to a broad range of tools to enable them to effectively advocate for these priority issues with their members of Congress.

Additionally, participants have the option to attend pre-rally seminars, “Overview of the Federal Budget Process: Budgets, Appropriations, Deficits and Taxes” and “Understanding the Practical Implications of the New EPA Regulations.”
